WE DON’T YELL IN THIS FAMILY!

Ahh, parent double standards….this reminds me of when I was sharing an apple with my son. I was insisting that he ask me politely for the apple if he wanted a bite (please, thank-you) But when I wanted a bite of his apple I just reached over and grab it, like the being polite rules didn’t apply to me…what a hypocrite I was, but no more.

I try so hard not to have to yell but sometimes there is no other way to get through the fog and make it to their brains!! I can even get my nose 3 inches from theirs but they are so involved that they ingnore me. Yeeesh!

If it makes you feel any better, I once (maybe twice *crossing fingers behind back*) got a sore throat from yelling at my kids too much in one day. After that happened, I tried whispering, but it just wasn’t as effective. Darn.

But I do apologize if I blow my top. Now, if I could only get them to do the same!

My son was screaming at me at the top of his lungs the other day, I told him to “knock it off!” the little brat says, “Well.. Mommy you deserve it!”
    I deserve it???

**Pull up a chair my little friend, let me buy you a drink at the time-out bar!
