    HAHA!

I love that! Of course, I’m the weird kid who likes sprouts, but I know that most people think they are balls of death.

  2. Jen says:

That is HILARIOUS! My husband will fully appreciate this sign. He thinks they’re pretty much as described.

    Seriously though, so funny 🙂

  3. Brilliant! Although my nine-year-old would take issue with that. He loves Brussels sprouts. Weird, huh?

  4. Carrie says:

I so totally agree. My mom used to make them from frozen when I was growing up, and they were always hot on the outside and frozen inside. GAG!!

  5. Heidi says:

I see they’re strictly adhering to the “truth in advertising” concept.

  6. That is so funny. Why would anyone buy them? I wrote today about “truth in advertising” at the grocery store, too, so that seemed extra funny to me.

  7. Mara says:

I LOVE that place. Good thing I don’t live in Seattle or I’d be there every day spending money I don’t have… on LITTLE GREEN BALLS OF DEATH. ahahahaha…

  8. grammyelin says:

Ahhh. So true. There is not enough cheese sauce in the world to hide the flavor of those little babies.

  9. Pam in Utah says:

You take great pictures of even the PRODUCE! Photography must run in the fam. 🙂

  10. zchamu says:

    Awesome. Totally awesome.

  11. That’s awesome! I wonder if it’s helped their sales at all? Of course, my family loves the sprouts; even my 4 year old.

  12. Beck says:

    I LIKE brussels sprouts!

  13. KYouell says:

I’ve heard that roasting them greatly improves their flavor, but have yet to try it. I hated them as a kid, but my step-mom loved them. She always fixed another veg for the rest of us when she made them for herself. I think I’m inspired to try them now. I shall roast little green balls of death and conquer them!

  14. Hee hee. Someday let me tell you the tale of the “Hawaiian Papaya” we bought once!

  15. falwyn says:

THAT is high-larious. I would be forced to buy them if I saw that, though I’ve never even tried brussell sprouts.

  16. TJ Hirst says:

Love that they really put that down in writing and didn’t just say it! Love that you captured it and shared.

  17. fidget says:

    bwhahahahahhahaha!

I hear little green balls of death are to die for when topped with warm blue cheese

  18. Jennifer Poncavage says:

What a great sign! I love Pike Market; last November I flew to Seatlle from my home in the northeast for my brother’s wedding on Whidbey Island and spent the day I had for sightseeing at the Pike place market. What a great place; thanks for bringing back great memories!

  19. Kris says:

OMG!! My sister in law INSISTS on cooking these nasty things EVERY holiday!! I love that sign…that totally explains why I don’t eat them!!

  20. Isabel says:

One more reason to love Seattle.

  21. Wendy says:

hey, that’s a good price for balls of death. yum.
