Come visit me at the parenting post today and see why Iām thinking of hiring a Human Resources director to come live at my house.

Administrative Stuff
I’m so with you. Come see what mine did today when I needed some space. š
I totally feel your pain on this one…and Husband looks at me like I’ve grown a second head when I try and explain. I mean, who doesn’t want to loved on by their kids? š
Wow!! I relate to that on a very, very deep level. I’m about to have my 4th baby and know that this issue will get worse before it gets better. Although I LOVE to nurse my babies, by the end of the day, it does leave me feeling “all touched out”!!! I guess “personal space” is just one other thing that is depleted in the life of a mom. I sure enjoy your humorous outlook on life!!
I *feel* your pain! I think I can one up you though… Today while I was taking my personal potty break with my 18 month old twins, each with a hand on my knees, and my 3 year old holding the door open (so I ‘don’t get in trouble in there’) in walks my husband to discuss what else we’re doing today. Um, hello! Peeing here!
I love your blog. We have tooooo much in common!
Wow…what a well written piece! You just blow me away with your writing skills, you know. And like the other gals, I can so identify!
Yup. There too. If one more person touches me, I will scream. *sigh*
Thankfully I got this while The Biscuit was still nursing. It was hard to explain to my husband though; I think your explanation to DYD was great. Now that The Biscuit is all weaned it is a bit better, but being in the 7th month of pregnancy is adding its own issues. At least we have made a conscious effort to connect as a married couple when we know stressful times are coming (as in before we went to the hospital for The B’s last surgery). We are making plans now for what to do in March so that it doesn’t vanish before I go in for my c-section in April. Whee!
Oh, one of the things that helped was realizing that The B needed less touching from me if he got a lot from Dad. So, they have their time when Dad gets home from work (which means I get some me time).
Great post! I love hiding in the bathroom. Locked doors are wonderful!
