Some Things Can’t Be Taught

In my heart I know I’m not as perfect as I sometimes like to think I am. At times I annoy myself with my little habits and quirks. However, I have a few fine qualities and traits I wish desperately to pass on to my children. Sadly I’m finding that certain things cannot be taught or forced. [read more at parenting.com]

    I know what you mean. I wish my children could be taught that eating food other than chicken nuggets and hot dogs is actually quite tasty. 🙂 LOL

    Oh there are so many things I could say this about my kids. They have suprised(and frustrated) me on so many occasions! I was the dainty ballerina girl growing up, and my daughter would rather get an injection of novacaine than have to dress up for/or go to ballet class. She likes to be wild and free, and ballet just doesn’t cut it for her. Isn’t it so funny how kids just “are who they are” and by having them we “get” to experience childhood in a new way through them. Sometimes a blessing and a curse I’d say.
