Woah!!! Wild find. Great shot too! It would have been scooped up and in the bin before I noticed it if it was here. Not because I’m ultra tidy….just ultra unobservant! (is that a word?)
How timely! I went to AC Moore yesterday, and it’s festooned with Halloween stuff.
I’m not all that impressed when someone finds Mother Teresa in the peanut butter or Jesus on the kitchen cabinet (both true stories). If, say, George Clooney’s likeness was found on a piece of toast or something, then I’d get really excited.
Creepy! It reminds me of the time we found letters on our freshly died easter eggs. They had been dried on a cookie cooling rack and some of the die had come off in certain areas. When we were putting them away, my brother discovered that the only letters represented were the letters in the word ‘HELP’.
I’ve stopped lurking just to comment on this one! That is sooooo funny – Lord only knows what would turn up in my sink with the dishes that have piled up over the last 24 hours. Yikes.
I cracked up! Too funny!
I agree, sell it on ebay! Someone made over $500 selling ketchup packets from McDonalds and some sporks and napkins from various fast food places! LOL Just clean out your van and get a sellin’!
With 8-years of Catholic school under my belt, I have been rigorously trained to find Mary’s face in nearly an food product, even ice cream. Although these days I’m just happy when said food product has not formerlly been in someone else’s tummy.
@ Susie K,
By the power of Grayskull is originally from a children’s comic book/ tv cartoon, where the princely hero turns into super hero He-Man and gets a really cool tiger and sword when he screams that line. You have got to check out the program sometime- can’t believe I used to really enjoy that when I was young. Grayskull is the castle of the super-hero.
In a strange bloggy coincidence Superhero Journal posted a photo challenge requesting “mysteriously appearing faces” the very next day. I don’t think either of you read each other’s blogs so it seems to have been a true coincidence!
Hope you don’t mind if I post a copy of your picture at my site as I failed in finding a mysterious face of my own!
Wow, Skelator is in your sink! Where are He-Man and Duncan???
Well, if it wasn’t perishable, it would make a cool scrapbooking stamp…ahem.
In the words of Ernest, “EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWEEWWWIE”
By the power of Grayskull! (That goes in the faux swears list. Did you see Hot Fuzz? They said it a couple of times and it cracked me up.)

A skeleton! AAAAHHH! It is a sign that you should not do your dishes today! Yup.
definitely avoid all dishes. I’m with Sheen.

too fuuny is thaton all mushrooms
Creepy!
Ewww, I would never have caught that. Good eye for sure!!
Save it. Hang it on your door for Halloween and then you won’t have any trick or treaters. Nasty little beggars… 😉
Okay. That’s a little weird.
Evil Mushroom!
That is just plain freakish!
You should sell it on eBay!
Send it to http://www.skulladay.blogspot.com !
I’m laughing at the comments as much as at the post! Hilarious!

Oh dear. It’s an omen. Let me know when I can come over and help with an exorcism!! LOL!!
So, does Death stalk you frequently?
So that’s what you get for leaving dishes in the sink?? Okay, I’ve learned my lesson!
Oh hai! In UR sink
creepin’ out UR salad bowls.
that’s because mushrooms are icky gross! The skull of death is telling you to avoid digesting fungi from hereon and forevermore!
PS: Would your dad be interested in sharing his skin cancer story for use in an upcoming educational book on skin cancer?
I remember your sister Heather saying something about it on Margaret’s blog back in 2005/2006.
My blog is onlyskindeepbook.blogspot.com
Hmmm . . . I think it looks like a ‘shroomy Darth Vader!
Yikes!! Here’s hoping fungi are not omens. It’s very ‘Punisher’ isn’t it?
Okay, someone quicker than me already left a reference to HeMan’s nemesis so I’ll just have to be content with saying that is a pretty creepy ‘shroom.

Oh my word. That is exactly why I don’t eat mushrooms. Because they are creepy.
With 8-years of Catholic school under my belt, I have been rigorously trained to find Mary’s face in nearly an food product, even ice cream. Although these days I’m just happy when said food product has not formerlly been in someone else’s tummy.
Yep. That’s definitely a skull. You’d better hide before death finds you! Bwahahahaha!
Well, my three boys personally found this mushroom skull to be AWESOME. That was their word.
Great weird, vision you had there. 🙂
Ewwww! That mushroom looks deadly! 😆
Just because that is a mushroom, I would go “Ewww.”
I hope you get a chance to update soon! Every time I check to see if you have I find the “shroom of Doom” staring back me!!!
That is one seriously evil looking mushroom. I’d never be able to get my kids to try mushrooms if they all looked like that!
It’s the sauce that clinches it. It would not have looked as cool if it had been in the remnants of an alfredo or clam sauce.
eeewww! And hilarious!

Whoa! I would mince that thing UP! Yikes!
Creepy mushroom face!

… unless finding the face on your blog counts…
